Urban Chipotle Salsa

Every year my Uncle Johnny plants a vegetable garden, tomatoes, corn, kale, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, watermelon, sweet potatoes all in his urban back yard. He has such an abundant tomato yield that I usually freeze some to make chili in the fall. I decided to try and make salsa and because I had a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and no jalepenos, I decided to throw in a couple chipotle pepper and adobo sauce. Of course, I had to throw in tons of cilantro. I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome. This recipe is worthy of a foodie. If you like salsa, this recipe will make you to start your own vegetable garden.



  • 4 Tomatoes
  • Lime juice
  • Cilantro, I like lots
  • 2 Canned chipotle peppers along with adobo sauce
  • 4 Tomatillos
  • Salt to taste
