Watermelon Sangria

I love making Sangria, white during the summer months and red during the winter months. Sangria is easy to make and great for a signature cocktail drink at a gathering of family and friends.

  • 2 cups cubed, cold watermelon
  • 3/4 cup Chardonnay, chilled
  • 750 milliliters bottle of Moscato- I like Flower Moscato because its not too sweet
  • 1 cup lime seltzer, chilled
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • Calvados Brandy to taste
  • Simple Syrup (optional) use if you like your Sangria sweet

  1. In a pitcher place watermelon cubes, then add the wines and brandy
  2. Sample to determine how much brandy you want to add. Sampling is my favorite part
  3. If you are adding simple syrup, you can add now
  4. Next add the sliced limes
  5. Add the seltzer for a little fizz
  6. Stir all ingredients and serve. If you are making ahead of time, don't add seltzer until ready to serve
